About Us

Hi! My name is Jeff... Owner/Chef of Cheffrey's Food Trailer & Special Events. 

   History: I was born in Sarasota, FL but Raised here in Gainesville. I come from a long line of amazing cooks but learned that I had a passion for cooking from my mother. At the age of 18, I landed an opportunity as a dishwasher at, hands down, one of the best sushi restaurants in Gainesville,  Dragonfly Sushi and Sake Company. In my 20 year tenure at DFLY, I worked and perfected every station and found myself being the Head Chef. Dragonfly was and will always be my extended family! I married by high school best friend, Amber, in 2013 and we had a beautiful baby boy, Bradley in 2016. 

With my 20 years of experience at Dragonfly, I had an itch to start something of my own. After lots of research (and saving), I opened my very own food truck and catering business: Cheffrey's Food Trailer & Special Events.  

With lots of support from my family, friends and foodies such as myself, Cheffrey's is quickly becoming a favorite in Gainesville!
